It's better. I would make window cleaning service a bit bigger and stick it above golden squeegee that I'd make a little smaller

All that said you've got to be happy with it.

Side writing will be seen by neighbours and the back seen in traffic.

Go with what make you happy.

Tony

I would definitely spread the number over the sliding door like I've done on mine. Have 07719 on the door and 749759 on the sliding door.

Maybe lose the telephone number on the front. It's not really necessary and it'll give you more room to space out the rest.

Be careful with the spacing on the rest of it. The G on Golden (on the rear door) and the E are very close to the edge. You need to make sure there is a decent size gap.

The S and the N (on the rear door) are over the gap between the two doors and won't be able to be applied properly if that makes sense.

I'm being ultra critical but they're definitely things worth considering.

And that is exactly what that sign writer would do on the back and sides. He would remove your name and just have a contact number - nothing else. The picture says everything that you need to arouse the customers interest.
I wasn't going to add this but after filling my van with water and putting the chargers on I've decided to.

Our sign writer would have removed your name Tony because it may turn negative in a customers mind when they see your van. You see, they don't know you but at school they were bullied by a boy called Tony Lee. Just reading that name could bring back lots of unpleasant memories - nothing to do with you, but they would most likely not come out and talk to you because of the unpleasant memories they have associated with a person who had the same name as you have.

Once they have spoken to you, then you have a better chance of getting the business even when you give them your name at a later stage.

I'm a South African and speak with a South African accent. Some like the sound of my accent as its different, so that's a positive. But others prejudge me for being a racist and an apartheid supporter without knowing me at all and that's a negative. So I wouldn't want a South African name on the side of my van as it may invoke the wrong thoughts, eg Hansie Cronje Window Cleaners. But Candice Swanepoel might be totally different. /emoticons/biggrin.png

Bruce Grobbelaar Window Cleaners wouldn't be good though either.

Wow Spruce, Thats far too deep.

I think my name or a company name gives credibility to the service provided. If my name offends, then that's one I won't win. I can't worry about that.

I'm a great believer in people buy people, if they like you, they will buy from you, you just need to get in front of them. So, I'll rob your shed window cleaning will limit who you get in front of, Joe blogs, Tony lee or spruces Windows shouldnt alienate too many.

This should highlight to the o/p to go with what he's happy with. Within reason.

Before I got mine done a few weeks ago the advice was to not put full list of services you offer on and window cleaner in large.

Well from my signage alone these last two weeks I've picked up 3 carpet jobs 2 pressure washing jobs and a gutter clean and a conservatory clean just from being parked up cleaning windows. I would defiantly put a list of services on your van.

Here's mine cost £80View attachment 6978

I kept mine simple but I also wanted my van to get noticed. Personally I dont think there is a right way or wrong way to have your van graphics, as long as people can see that you are a window cleaner.

I'm finding this such an interesting thread.

I'm inclined to agree that we should go with what each are happy with. Interesting that @adamangler has had such a good response from the list of services on his van when advice from sign writers is to keep it simple.

The reason I didn't want window cleaner as my main feature was because I felt it would look unprofessional when turning up to other jobs. I.e carpet cleaning I mean it's fine that a window cleaner would also do carpet cleaning but I've always promoted myself as a cleaning company who offers various services. One of the main reasons being if I ever decided to branch out into other areas of cleaning or focus solely on one area I wouldn't need a complete rebranding.

I digress but mines helped with my current window cleaning customers noticing and saying ohh you do this that and the other and then knowing they can get a range of services from someone who they already know and trust.

I like the look of the back of your van, how much was it for photo pictures?
Thank you.

The picture was a "stock image" from the sign writer. With my web address on the bonnet it was £395 plus VAT

Tony

I would say all is needed is your company name.on the side and a number same on the back plus website, people dont care what else is there a number is all people need.

My opinion
