New Brodex Raptor Carbon Pole

WCF

Help Support WCF:

Its not the pole that you need to question, its the company. Its been stated before; why advertise a pole that will only be delivered in 3 - 4 weeks due to high demand.

Its more like - we haven't the cash flow to import these poles so please order one now, pay for it and then when it comes we will make a profit out of you using your investment to do it.

High demand - my foot!

If you feel inclined, please order a pole and then do a regular update of your delivery expectations and then a review when its finally delivered in 6 months (hyperbole) time. Would I trust my cash with Brodex? - no. They tried to take me to the proverbial cleaners once in the early days when I was a little more trusting of them. I had to fight my corner and even then I didn't get what was promised - "the salesman who took your order is no longer with us. He agreed to a sales deal he had no authority to agree to was their answer."

Looks a bit cheaper than Gardiner's SLX but like Spruce said issues with delivery and it's a lot easier to be able to deal with Alex Gardiner on here if you need to. So not a viable option for me. Will stick with Gardiner's.

Yep! I wouldn't go with them even at half that price.  We know that when we deal with Alex we get a good product which is good value for money. My everyday pole is an SLX22 and is 6 years old. Its still got plenty of life left in it. If it hasn't I'm more than satisfied with the service its given me so far to date.

I'm SLX 27 no complaints. Cleaned it for the first time last night. Bought it about 16 months ago and what a difference it made cleaning it last night, today feels brand new again.

Might upgrade to Extreme possibly in the next few months..

I tend to give anything with the name Brodex a very wide berth..
Have only ever heard bad reviews about this company's products and services.
To be honest, I would just buy a carbon pole from China, if I was going to go down the route of not buying from Gardiners.
I've already seen the square ova-8 pole for sale direct from China.

Hmm seems to be that Brodex haven’t got a great name. I just fancied giving something else a go to make Window cleaning a little more interesting. But I’ll give this a miss. Nothing against Gardiner at all, I currently have a 10clx 18xtreme & 25slx and all going well.

The 25 Slx is an absolute work horse. Haven’t done any maintenance on that in over 6 months, it’s 2&half years old, banged so many skylights & windows shut with it over the years, and dropped it once when I lent it against a gutter. So yep, no need to preach Gardiner poles to me. They’re probably the best around.

But Just out of curiosity, what is 2nd best out there in your opinions?

I'd say water genie, based on clx & barracuda poles. I own the barracuda and I've used a clx and I struggle to find a difference. Had mine 2 1/2 years, abused it daily, never really cleaned it apart from a quick flush out and still going strong. @Green Pro Clean Ltd has owned the viper and slx at the same time so he can give a better comparison

It's apples and apples mate.

If it's the Brodex you want the get written confirmation of stocks and delivery times.  Pay on credit card or paypal for protection.

The issue to a point I had found in the past with other suppliers a number of years ago is that the advertised weights were not correct, I pulled up X-Line on this on an open forum after they bought out Elite poles and just rebranded them as X-Line carbon poles and he refused to comment say no more, The dubious suppliers as I will call them I would not  buy from them.

Back on subject, I purchased a Brodex alloy pole years ago and paid extra for next day delivery it turned up nearly 2 weeks later
