Could anybody explain the difference in the models of ova8 poles for example himod.

himod is a higher carbon fibre content so is stiffer but more brittle!
The greater the modulus, the stiffer the material.

Thanks for that. So for example the hi mod is like a gardiner extreme? And the normal ova8 is just like a regular grinder carbon pole
