Your profile says you are based in Cornwall you can get a sub meter fitted and not pay for the waste water if you don't have already this will reduce your water bill by quite a bit,

@Pjj is based in Cornwall so will be able to advise
I have a sub meter fitted by SWW  I only pay for the water no sewage charge this is fir the outside tap and once I proved to them that the waist water goes on the garden and not there drains they were happy . It dies make a big difference to the bills .

I double di in the van. 2 x14 ( they maybe 11 litres) litre vessels powered by a shurflo pump. The vessels are after the pump. I've done this 6 years and it works fine. I have two of everything and have only changed one pump to date. I've just down sized to a 400 litre tank, so when I'm certain that's a big enough tank, then I'll remove the vessels and pump pure straight into the tank.

Best way is DI Vessel to tank but have an inline filter as some of the cheaper resins on the market are very fine so can find their way into the tank.

in Scotland the common way is tap water into to tank, then pump, Di vessel to hose reel. Down side to this you get a lot of pressure build up in the vessel.
