Yeah, agree mate. I do have on my website, a pricing structure, 3 bedroom s are from 8-10 pounds, I dont want to charge more than 10 pounds really for 3 bed, unless the amount of windows are mental, I always ask on facebook how many windows do you have?Your pricing would be a lot better if you concentrated on the amount of glass they have, instead of how many bedrooms they've got. Two different 3bed houses can take very different amounts of time to complete. Consider other things like access, window style, condition, tools needed etc. Things like this can make all the difference- miss one and it won't make a difference, but miss 2 0r 3 things and you could end up drastically underpricing the job. I still have most all of the work from when I started, and my prices are good(high)- this means that the customer is happy with the job they're getting, but more importantly, I'm happy to do the work.
God I would just about manage 2 houses an hour at present, lol, rubbish innit. I prob take to much time as new and want to get it all perfect in my mind and over play it, but speed will come in time and now I dont need speed really, I need work. Talkign of work, I been looking across the net and DAVEYBOY1 is so right you have to door knock, I will be out all week door knocking flyers nearlt at an end, feel like dumping the 400 odd, crap return flyers, if I was going to get a round on flyers I would hav to put out about half a million. Anyway, I will make sure when door knocking and i quote I make sre how many windows and access etc.
