Rapid RO advice

Looking to upgrade the one in the van, wanting something that could do 500 liters in around 3 hours (4 at the most)

Cost is not too much of an object but lets not go crazy, hoping to get away for under £500

Any suggestions please?

its not that much deaerer as u get 2 pre filters and the mount u get the plastic spanner to open the filters u get a pressure gauage and the mounting brrackets oh and its a hf5 membrane

There is a huge difference as what you see advertised on Daqua is we provide full accurate specs. The 4040 system also includes pre filters which TCW does not.

Membrane in TCW is a Chinese membrane and looking at the spec is rated at 150 PSI.

The membrane in the Daqua is membrane sheeting made in America which is one of the higher specs in the world. Only a few companies in the world have the technology.

The HF5 membrane is rated at 80 psi which if you have low pressure will perform a lot better and their housing is a nightmare to change your membrane.

If your going to have a booster pump then the HF4 membrane would be suitable.

Vyair all the way, they use low pressure japenese membranes. Tap water is generally 40-45 psi out of a tap in the u.k so you will never get optimum conditions so try and go for the lowest pressure membranes. green pro i suggest calling sam from vyair mention dave from suffolk recommended you. i get 2 ltrs a minute out of mine, can push it to 2.5 ltrs if i have to but dont want to wreck the membrane. sam also mentioned you can go as low as 1.2 to 1 waste to pure water ratio- just make sure you flush the membrane.

A lot of companies state low pressure membranes but always check the spec from the manufacturer or ask for it when buying as low pressure can mean 100 to 120 psi.

A 4040 membrane if all boxes are ticked can do up to 6 litres a minute pure. Input flow rate is key as well and if your tap only outputs 10 litres a minute you would never get 6 litres a minute. You also have to take into consideration when the washing machine is on as this restricts the flow in some houses.

Cold water in the winter slows down the flow rate as well.

Spot on Doug, agree with everything you said. My one from Vyair is a 75 psi membrane. Unless you are using a pump I don't think you will get higher.

That's a bit naughty of Vyair stating that as their membranes are manufactured in China and rated at 100 psi. It was originally spec at 120 psi then the manufacturer changed it but you can no longer look as there is a virus on their website which has been on there for a good year now.

I have been looking In to a 4021 ro .

But I was unsure of my pressure.

But I have now checked and only getting 35psi with a flow rate of 14 ltr p/m.

As my 200 gpd takes well over 2 hrs for 25ltr
