Removal of plastic film from very large window

Hi everyone.  I have to remove a large amount of baked on plastic film which has been stuck on a very large window for over a year.  Any ideas or suggestions?  It is way too large to use a scraper on it and it needs some form of chemical.

It's for many jobs, won't damage glass but not sure about painted or anodised frames. Just Google Tar and Glue remover, will give you a big list
