Sending a pole

I'm selling my slx47 to a mate in Southern Ireland.

Has anyone sent a pole in the post? How much did it cost? How did you wrap it?

Keep the tube that it came in with loads of bubble wrap is my advice. Other than that get a load of cardboard boxes and cut them down so you can wrap it round the pole and seal with duct tape.
