Spiders don't normally bother me but when this thing crawled out from under a window frame every orifice in my body instantly closed up.

Hard to tell the size of it in relation to bricks, what size was it?

Spiders creep me out no matter what size they are... When I was in Perth WA in January past I saw some rather large spiders including this one :-(

As you can see from the brickwork it's not particularly big but still moved quick.. As for that huntsman spider, that's a whole different League.

It's when you walk through a nest of those tiny green things and find yourself covered in hundreds of em that gets me. In my hair, down my neck and abseiling of my peaked cap. Ridiculous really, such tiny things yet they creep us out. I often wonder what they'd say to each other about us if they could talk. Makes me smile

I don't mind spiders at all
The wife likes to wake me up at 2am screaming about a spider in the loo so i have to go get rid of it
I usually pick them up in my hand and drop out the window or front door but she is then scared they will come back like they have some sort of vengeance against her so wants me to kill them for doing absolutely nothing
Mate got bit by a false widow and the swelling completely covered his forearm
The hospital insisted they monitored the size of the swelling and measure it regularly
None of our native spiders have fangs that will puncture our skin i have been told but these "immigrants" can be a bit tasty

Mostly true, but you can get bit by the big house spiders as well, I know because I have been.

That above definitely looks like a false widow for sure.

Had a girl pal helping me clean today, she seriously point blank refused to wipe away spiders webs and nests (cos they were living beings apparently). Then about cried when she had to eventually wipe away said spiders nest, and was told we were not on green peace patrol today!

Offered a post clean counselling session but I think she's just about recovered now.
