Only time will tell what he does. At this time we shouldn't speculate what he will do. If he has left the country then we will probably never know the outcome. Will there even be a court case?@spruce Good grief. I can't believe the lengths some people will go to for money, and then far worse that somebody has died because of their company's neglect. Some people have absolutely no shame whatsoever. I think you are right he's disappeared out of the country and my guess would be he'll never come back.
It was sad that a window cleaner with children died. The children have lost their dad.
But that window cleaner must also take some of the responsibility imho. He surely must have known that the vehicle he was driving was unsafe. His life was more important than driving an unsafe vehicle. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to work that out.
We don't know the full details of the accident, but it involved a Citroen car that pulled out of a side road which he collided with. Speed was a factor in the accident. The occupants of the Citroen were badly injured. The speed limit on that section of road was 50mph for vans. He was approaching a 30mph speed limit and there was a kink in the road ahead as you pass over the A19 dual carriage way. He had to slow down for that. The impact sent his van off the road a long way into a field on the left. A little further and he would have crashed onto the north bound side of the motorway.
It also happened on a Friday afternoon. Was he in a hurry to get back to the unit so he could knock off early? Traffic around Middlesbrough starts to get heavy at about 3.30 on a Friday afternoon as much of industry shuts up shop early on a Friday afternoon for the weekend.
So much we don't know that could have played a factor in the tragedy.
