Submersible pump issue won't fit in the hole

Hi there I have an old ish ionics tank 1000 litre and I have bought a submersible pump for my back pack problem Is the fill up cap for these tanks are tiny and the bloody thing doesn't even fit .


Is there a better way of doing it like attaching a hose to the bottom end or something ?

Outside diameter is 51 mm for the submersible pump

This is a 12v submersible pump with a 38mm diameter I use this one to fill my backpack when I used 25 litre barrels as the 51mm one is just about 2mm too big.
The 38mm pump wont be as quick as the 51mm pumps but without cutting the tank it's easiest solution if you only have 12v.
