Canvas clean cull best advise on here im going through the culling process getting rid of the dead wood picking loads up so thought why not .
I think this was target advice especially for new window cleaners. When they are trying to build a round initially, they will pick up a lot of messers other window cleaners have dropped (culled). We did and we held onto some of them too long in the belief that they were better than nothing.

These days we are better at spotting messers than we were when we first started.

For new cleaners you have to set out your 'table' clearly so they agree to a price and cleaning schedule which includes.a higher initial clean. If, after the first clean, they say they will call you when they want the windows cleaned next, then take your money, let them know that wasn't what you agreed to and cull them never to return. This is the only way to build a good round from the beginning.

We don't do flats any more. We have been caught out with renters wanting an end of rental clean on the pretence of a regular clean. We clean the following month only to find new tenants who never employed your services. Initially we also asked if they owned the flat or tenants. We found out a few who said they were the flat owners were actually renting.

Then there is always the issue with trad cleaners doing the ground floor windows and we clean upstairs flats and drop water into the downstairs flats. I don't need the agro in my life there's days.

I said non of this dropping 20000 leaflets and hoping most i have dropped is about 1000 wasnt really worth the effort

What hours do u normally do knocking mate and do u just pick an area and nock every single house if not in leave a card ?

I usually go 4.30 to 6pm pick an area you like the look of with in 1/2 hr you will see if its a waste of time or not dont be disheartened some areas are better than others just keep going you can pick up as many as u want thats how i started done it all myself you can tell who are the messers straight away once you get into it
