Hi guys. Was thinking about getting a new Transit Custom for work. Can anyone who has one show me how you have it set up in the back? Post your pics in the thread if you can!  Either SWB or LWB but could you specify which yours is? Would you recommend getting one? Pros/ cons.. any help would be awesome! :)

I'm sure 'setting it up' would very much depend on the size and orientation (flat or upright) the tank is.

@Damo has a few Customs in service.

I've just bought a new Ducato for £23k inc VAT

Yes it looks nice , I need something not too large that will take an ionics thermopure 600 ltr system and a couple of hose reels and a few poles , so pay load I think needs to be over 1200kg , I have a renault master , Vito , and traffic , but could do with something ford custom size/ traffic size , new traffic comes out in September the ones at the moment are only 1:6 engine , gutless rubbish , the new one is going back to the 2:0 ltr any other suggestions greatly appreciated ??

Ok thanks so you have less than 300kg kg when the tank is full ??? for all your other stuff depending what the empty system weighs .

350 left after the tank is full.I carry the very bare minimum if it's not needed it doesn't go in I don't like clutter.I didn't even bother with a ladder rack with this one.I have a reel ,small amount of trad gear and 2 poles.I don't clean gutters, driveways, con roofs or carpets. Some one asked for a picture of inside which I will post up later.I also checked with Grippa and they put it into there payload checker and said it was fine.

I originally bought a Citroen Dispatch Professional Plus LWB for £22.7K that had a 150HP engine. This is the same as the new Vivaro and has a 1440kg payload. Not much room though for extras, much smaller than the Traffic

Ok thanks for that I thought it would be less than that , if the payload is one ton =1000 kg the water will be 650 kg + what ever the tank and system weighs , usually the manufacturers figures for payload only include half a tank of fuel and drivers weight of 68kg so any more fuel and heavier driver would have to come out of the payload ,me and staff weigh a lot more than 68 kg Ime afrade ????I worked out I would need at least 1200kg pay load , thanks for your input
