What mileage did your gearbox go mate? Was It a dear fix? I thought my injectors where going I was losing power and the van was cutting out while driving, ended up being the turbo boost sensor wasn't clicked into where it should have been best news off 2015 lol

Fiat scudo 1.9d 2001

Mileage - 300k ish (mileage stopped displaying at 288k nearly 2 yes ago)

Mpg 30-35 ish not really checked

Reliability - owned 2 years had no work done except about 100 quids worth on m.o.t

Drives like a car looks like a battered skip

my gear box went with only 48k on the clock

wat engine was in ur van chris ? 2.0cdti or 1.6cdti thats not good news2 engines blow at that milege

55plate berlingo 1.9 . this is my fourth berlingo in 8 yrs that says it all really. each of the previous duffed out after 2 yrs of daily use. theyv fairly good engines but frail elsewhere . iv spent about half of what i would by buying old vans rather than if id bought brand new . thats good enuff for me .

i spend 50 notes each week on diesel my rounds covering a wide area. all told id say the berlingos are average BUT very cheap to fix which i like

one of my previous was having a new clutch fitted and the mechanic took it for a little test drive afterwards= but the rear brake linings decided to come apart at that very moment and locked up the back wheels at 40mph, this sh//t him right up ! and he had to walk back not very happy

2010 Citroen Dispatch 1.6 HDI. Size wise they are brilliant for wfp, Three seats up front too. These vans are MUCH better with the EGR valve blanked off. The EGR is the cause of much of the carbon build up and the black smoke. Had Two fail within months do decided to have it blanked off after much online research and not finding even one negative case! No more black smoke, quieter motor, smoother drive and NO problems after 5k miles with it blanked. Unfortunately I lost 5th gear a few months back so have to get round to buying a recon' box at some point!!/emoticons/biggrin.png

Its the 2.0 mate. Heard from renault today and its timing chain related on this one!!

whoa i hurd its very rare for the chane to slip or snap not good that

My first car was a corsa with a timing chain it ended up the chain wore a hole in the engine and wasn't viable fixing for the value it was worth

54 plate Vauxhall Combo 1.3cdti. Had it for nearly a year now and no problems so far. 45 to 50 mpg.
