Alright gents,

I just got me a new lid for my 250l,(the other one had holes in it) put it on yesterday and after half a day today this has happened.

Is this normal, Especially to such a degree?

Make a small hole on the top of the lid.
Needs to be able to breathe a little

With the water going out and nothing replacing it you've created a vacuum. I think Tuffers drilled a hole and inserted a long tube to prevent spillage from holed lids
Thought as much, though i've never come across is problem on the forum before. Gona drill a small hole i think in the lid. thanks

My lid has a piece inside that protrudes downwards which has a hole in it almost to the top

I just stuck a drill down it and drilled the final bit out

Nothing splashes up that

If it is a wyedale internal lid it will have that bit

drill a small hole in the lid and install some tubing from and a non return valve, all available online if you look at fish tanks on ebay or amazon, the non return valve will stop water flowing out onto the van floor but allow air into the the tank mate
