Water fed pole system (resins)

Depending on whether you are in a hard or soft water area will you determine what R/O you will need, don't weigh your options up on item solder cheaply on Ebay as they can be inadequate for the demands of a window cleaner

County Durham Lad

First purchase is a TDS meter, again for a recognised supplier. They cost around £15.

A decent r/o will remove 97 to 98% of the impurities in your water given the right parameters. The resin is the final polishing off to remove the remaining 2 to 3% of those dissolved impurities too small for the membrane to catch and filter out.

We use Tulsion MB115 which works for us. Unfortunately whenever someone asks which the best resin is, they are poking a hornet's nest.

Again, in the same vein as your r/o, only purchase resin from recognised suppliers.

As @Iron Gianthas already responded, many r/o's available aren't suitable to produce enough water for the daily needs of a window cleaner. In my opinion, we need a minimim of a 300 gpd processing water into a storage system for later transfer.

If you are processing water directly into your van's tank, then chances are you need a faster water processing r/o such as a 4021 or a 4040.

We are heading toward winter so r/o's need to be kept warm.
