On a water meter at home  Do we pay more for water if we are running a business from home or is it a standard price no matter what you use it for thanks

Check online for your local water supplier board and look up price per cubic meter and add vat. Really isn't difficult to get a price. 

The general consensus is that it's a rip off as older homes pay a standardised rate 

 
85% of your water bill is for the treatment of the waste water which goes down your drains. As you take water off site to use for work it's not going down your drain so you shouldn't pay for it. I contacted Southern Water and told them I use water for work and they have given me a very nice discount. Been getting this for the past five years, give your water company a ring.
