he will tell you how he uses Granular Activated Carbon (I think this is what's he uses) in place of his carbon block filter.

He uses a di vessel and 3/4 fills it with this stuff. I seem to remember him saying it was an 11 liter di vessel but I'm not 100% certain of that. (The other window cleaning forum he occassionally frequents is down atm or else I would have done a search on that for more accurate info.
The di vessel is first in line, the sediment filter is second to trap any carbons fines that might escape the di vessel and then his 4040 r/o.
He has used this for the past 4 to 5 years now without issue so it might be worth having a chat to him.
Certainly June from GAPS will be able to tell you all about what he does as she recommended he do this.
