WFP Backpack? WaterGenieORgardener

WCF

Help Support WCF:

We use the Gardiner ones cheap and last well , we put a lot of hypo through ours and they still last around 3 years or so , so just using water or a mild chemical Ime sure it would last far longer

Water genie doesn't look too sturdy to me you can stand on a Gardiner one to get over gates etc and the handle is much better

Water genie is extremely reliable. Had one for 3 years, has just given out after daily use as working out a car so no van mount. Only backpack I've used and don't plan to change. Only downside is the little trolley is pants.

Thanks all

my problem is I don’t drive

so so can I get by with the backpack??

I don’t drive can I get by with backpack?

Easy answer is no. You'll need spare water with you too.

Hard graft answer is yes. If your local bus company have no objections then you could take a small trolley with you and spare water. Failing that as above, a hand cart like cyclists use but it'll be a struggle up hills etc.

Is not impossible without a car but it's going to be seriously trying.

We've had both the gardeners backpacks and the water genie backpack and we still have both the gardeners backpacks and the water genie backpacks and I tend to buy them from whoever has the stock at the time they both just fine

Anyone who has a water genie back pack have you tried to attach better wheels on it? My onky gripe with the Gardiner is that no one straps them up as a back pack and could do with being fittted with some wheels like the water genie one just with beefier wheels perhaps.

We have mounted ours on a sack truck

I did the same @Pjjbut found it to comber some ime. A little extendable handle like the water genie and those large save truck wheels then I do be golden

If you have the cash you cannot beat  Pure Freedom Nano Trolley fitted with remote control. Is so compact and small it so easy to move about and the remote control saves all the bending and not having to waste time bending over refilling a back pack reduces stress on your back again and allows you to work so much faster. With it having top spec fittings it can jsut be used as a van mount if you don't want to take it out of the back of the van. Lithium battery fitted and I am only charging it once a week which is really handy as well.

I did look into one of those @THL4KEL cheers for heads up. I got the pack and pole as a good starting point and it works well, but if there's something to speed me up and releases the strain even a little is well worth a look.

really fancied one of those xline wheelie bin efforts before I began, you know the 45 litre ones in bright orange!
