Hiya guys, I've come across an issue with the hose connecting the pump to the main hose line, keeps bursting off? I've lowered my pressure to add low as 30 but can't get a decent flow but still bursts off eventually ?‍♂️

The 30 you refer to; is this your flow or your calibration setting?

If this is the screen you always see 'first' then 30 is your flow rate - how fast you want the pump to push water out of your jets in your brush head. You increase the flow by pressing the up arrowed button and decrease it by pressing the down arrowed button.

Calibration works in the background and translates into pressure settings.

You could find that a flow of 30 on your controller is fine for you to clean windows. Your pressure setting could mean that you could happily do this at a pressure of 50psi to say 150psi.

Everything will work fine at 50psi. When you turn your flow off the pressure switch will switch the pump off when the pressure in the pipe builds and reaches 50psi. But if your pressure switch is set at 150psi then the pump will continue to build up pressure in the pipe when you switch your flow off until it reaches 150psi. It will then switch the pump off.

But if your connectors aren't strong enough, then 150psi might cause those fittings to become disconnected or fail or the hose blows.

On Spring variants and Varistream controllers you can reduce the pressure digitally to stop fittings/connectors parting company by adjusting the calibration setting. On Varistreams we can only do it manually; on Spring controllers it can be done either manually or automatically.
