What type of fitting is this?

It looks like the same thread that you can screw into a Hozelock male connection

Here's a photo it's the blue fitting with the barb I'm after

It's just a BSP to barb fitting. You can measure the thread diameter and look up the size as they are imperial sizes. Hopefully this table comes out:

Thanks Ched, it looks like it fits into the Shurflow filter and the Hozelock maybe they are different thread though

I believe that the filter you have is a Shurflo Threaded (255-213). This is supposed to be 1/2" bsp male at one end and 1/2" bsp female at the blue barb end.

Ok I think i might need these, from 3/4 to 1/2 for the Hozelock
I don't have any of this just looking at building a Shurflow pump box for my future tank install

Then with a 1/2 thread to barb as you said

So I thought i was sorted with the fittings but on the Daqua website it lists the Shurflow pump as having NPT fittings?

@doug atkinson could you please confirm if they are 1/2 BSP or NPT the searches I've done say the standard 1/2 BSP garden tap female fit but the pump specs are listed as NPT which isn't compatible?

That item will fit okay. You will need a bit of ptf tape. The pump fitting is NTP.
