Will it reach ?

cant afford to get a 30ft pole or even extensions for my current pole im just starting out hopefully it will reach ,i don mind getting wet just want earn some money at moment lol

good thing is,is that if it does the great potential on the estate cos the lady says traditional window cleaners wont do the propertys cos of the height

got this job to go to tommrow i have got a clx 18 pole by gardner i know it hard to tell by picture its a three story place but not a full 3 story i call them a rabbit hutch homes will the pole reach any ideas ?

If you really stretch and stand close to the building you may just be able to reach with an 18ft pole - this would be a bad cleaning position though.

Ideally a 25ft would reach well and give you a good stand off from the building.

Obviously a longer pole would be better but he's gotta work with what he's got at the mo. Can't splash out on a new pole for just one job if you're just starting out!

Unfortunately in this game if you want to take on jobs like that you have to splash out and buy the right kit for the job or you can make yourself look like a right plonker trying. Wfp window cleaning is not a cheap method for sure as it will seem like you are always putting your hand in your pocket.

I would rather turn up knowing I can clean the front of that building in confidence stood in a good cleaning position than having to struggle with a shorter pole.

There's no way that requires a 30ft pole!!/emoticons/biggrin.png A 22ft for definate would reach with a normal cleaning angle. Just not sure the 18 will get it or not, think it may come up short.

Mind you @boarcity and many other trad window cleaners would do that one by trad with big ladders.

Did you try your pole for size? Might have been worth it.

the ground floor is only about 7ft high. 18 will be close. Use steps

never got round to trying it,the rain a sleet was that bad i never got out the car,just text the lady saying would be back another day she was ok with that

I'd ladder it with my ladder stop no probs. but a lot safer with pole. Get a pair of steps or stand on van in drive

Steps or make your pole longer? Bungee strap a bit of 2x1 to the pole. Don't let anyone see you though cos it'll look wak.

u could ducttape a broom handle to ur pole just as a extenshion for that one job to grt u out the jam ,when i started out i brout a clx27 an a super max47 i got it on the credet card as i couldent afford it even tho i dident need a 47ft pole but then a few jobs came that the 27ft wouldent reach so the morel of the story is u never no whats round the corner so best to have the rite gear just in case as u dont want to ave to say to a new job sory i cant clean it my pole is to short , when my super max is due to b replaced ill get a 60ft pole as even 47ft can b a tad short for the odd job i think 3 poles is key 1 22ft one 35ft an a big boy like a 50ft or 60ft
