How much for this gutter job.

Why I ask is if plastic and you put too much pressure on it trying to get the sods out using a guttervac you are likely to damage the joints etc especially on the corners. Sometimes I've found it's quicker/easier to get the sods out by hand using my ladder system when appropriate.

If ali it will have internal brackets that the sods may have matted around. So again if so it's going to be very awkward to do by a guttervac.

On gutter clearing jobs I always check & unblock downspouts too if required and make sure they are free flowing...

I would not go to a gutter clearing job without ladders as I've found they are often required too.

The jobs you think are going to be easy are usually the ones that can cause the most grief. If you think it's going to be a hard job it usually is but on very rare occasions can be a doddle to do.

What just for the front I hope /emoticons/biggrin.png

Actually I was happy with the price. I know who I can charge extra and who wont . the aim is to get the SALE. If I charge to much some will say no. I just quoted this for £60 and got the job

I agree with charging a little less for a regular windowC customer, but its all relative. If your normal price is £60 and you let them have it for £50, they're still getting a nice deal out of it. I just make sure I tell the customer its more expensive due to the danger as well as extra time, and because I've got to bring my big ladder.

Why not just add a tenner onto your normal price then?

Did a gutter clean today and charged £40 , this job took me a hour and it only had a little moss in it, I'd never take the ladder of my car and risk my life for anything less , and those jobs in the pics full of grass and moss overflowing I'd want £60 a hour doing them and if they weren't happy with that my ladder would stay on my car, I dont do cheap or friends rates when doing risky work

Great minds think alike /emoticons/biggrin.png
I just re read my comment and I missed out a vital part of why I'd charge less- is just minus the fuel and travel time, as thats already paid for by the initial job. But ultimately, the initial price was what you said it was, I feel a lot of peoples trouble on here when they get grief for quoting high is that they don't explain the reasons for the price well enough or in other words- sell the virtues of the job.

When I first started out on the gutter cleans I was charging £40 as my minimum. But now I wouldn't do it for less then £60 for two sides of a house no matter how small. If it was just one side then I'd quote £40. But at £40 I found I couldnt fit enough houses into the day to make much more then a normal day on the windows or any of my other jobs, so its not worth the risk. Whereas charging a minimum of £60 I can either finish early for the day, or blitz it and be quids in.

Probably less then you smurf, but I'd aim for £170 for that. Its a bit hard to tell from the pics. I'd see if he'll chuck it that grey haired knome in the garden on the last pic as part of the cost.

I charge customers simillar rate whether they are new or regular for gutters. So far I have won all gutter jobs quoted.

I've just shown you all the gutters around the house what more do you want /emoticons/biggrin.png

I wasn't sure if some of the pics were the same gutter from another angle. I'd still probably call it £170, book out a whole day for it, and finish nice and early.

smurfs job with those power lines nearby and that slopey roof must surely be ranked as a killer job !

i find adding a 100 onto killer jobs makes it worth it

iv a gutter job to do on friday morning, what i quoted unseen at £25 not a long gutter has been adjusted to £125 because im going to do it at 8 am and my workers need extra pay for starting erly. we r doin it at that time as the ladder has to sit near to a busy road when road will be quiet is the plan , plus we r putting a cone out
