Today ive had my first really **** day since starting windows.
Had 8 jobs to do today, (im part time)
one of them asked me other day to clean conny roof as well as windows (£15 house), never seen conny before or cleaned one i quoted £15 via text (first mistake lol)
Anyway 9am start, get to conny roof house, 2 and a half hours later finished it, way underpriced it ****** off with myself.
Next job 10 mins fine, she paid last week so no cash this time
3rd job first clean, wasnt bad took half hour, trolley starts playing up, swapped batterys pumps, the lot, still coughing and spluttering, ******* about for ages before realising hose had an air leak, fitting kept popping off no more clips.
4th job hydrophobic first clean (ffs) its now 1:30pm and ******* trolleys at it again, cleaned all house frames, went back did all glass, ran out of water, noticed two big runs on glass, ffs gets out mi £1 wilko squeegee rubber kept dropping out of channel, then handle snapped lmfao felt like killing someone lol.
Anyway though ******** to this trolley, went to b&q for a hoselock reel, then spent 2 hours cleaning van out, putting microbore on it (with not correct fittings) so now ive got a van mount.
Had my tea its 5pm now, gt a call from first job, youve damaged my conservatory, im confused.
Goes back, somehow id knocked 4 end caps off and they were in gutter, husband was a miserable git, im knackered at this point and really had enough, any way get up puts 3 back on that were in guttering.
couldnt find the 4th one, i said must have been missing as i havent moved any, no they were all there he says, anyway finds it in a bush, theres a plastic insert in it that had dropped out and so was technically broken although if i had noticed earlier i could have stuck everything back on and no one had known.
So told him id sort it and ive found one on ebay there only a fiver so ive ordered it.
Ive no doubt lost that custie, but also im sure hes not gonna pay me the 30quid for cleaning his house today either, im not sure if i should even ask for money
I feel terrible, no idea why i didnt notice, i think i underpriced by way too much then was ****** off with myself so rushed, theres no harm done in the end just really upset me today.
After all pure water ive used, diesel, tax, replacing that end cap and messing about id be lucky to have made a tenner today. i wish i had stayed in bed feel like **** lol.
still 4 jobs that didnt get done, will have to do them monday now
Ive learned a valuable lesson though, never ever under price or quote blind, need to charge a good price that allows me to do the job properly without rushing.
