A few weeks ago I was concerned that there would be no where to put my cross on 7th May. As I went about my work, I saw a landrover parked on a drive, decked out in UKIP flags and signs so I stopped and knocked on the door. I had a long chat with Steve Crowther and discovered that there was a candidate standing. If there was no one standing for UKIP in my area I would have done so. Steve was trying to get me to stand in another area but it was the day before the deadline and we agreed there was little time to get organised. In the future I will stand. It goes without saying I shall vote UKIP.

As an ex-copper I have been called all these things and more besides. I have served the crown since I was 18. I have been a soldier, police officer, foster carer and now a Scout Leader. I speak my mind and have always fought my corner. I have always protected/educated/cared for others and my work is not yet done.

I was getting a bit peeved with nigels projected mp tally but ...

then I KEPT looking at the sky tv polls and it suddenly occurred to me ..I am a bit slow. as you know...he is actually leading the third biggest party ..honest...unless I am missing something..hes come from nowhere and he is now number three...and we know about the other two..

the rich will always vote for one and ...

the bedroom tax means the other lot will get votes..

but our nige is third...and...this could only be the beginning....

things are only going to get better...

Unfortunately because of the way voting works (sucks) with the first past the post system UKIP will come third in overall votes, but will still only get 1-3 seats.

The system sucks.

I think it is a tragedy when simply putting your own people first is considered racist.

but at the end of the day...I THINK they will get the point..and some good will come out of this election.../emoticons/biggrin.png

I believe our niges party are second here and there is only three per cent in it...

 
See, I don't like multiculturalism, and not for race reasons, I don't like it because it makes everything grey..... let me explain.

In China you expect to see Chinese people, you expect to see the Architecture and the culture of the people.

In Africa you expect to see Africans, you expect to see the architecture and culture of the people.

In India you expect to see Indians, you expect to see the architecture and culture of the people.

This is awesome, you can go and visit all these different places and experience all these different cultures, all the different kinds of foods, brilliant.

Now we have a situation where if you say this of England, that you would like England to be about English people and its architecture and culture you are suddenly a racist?

I love the fact I can go and see a yellow culture, a black culture, a blue culture, a black culture, yet England has to mix all of these together and become grey, that isn't enriching it is diluting, we are diluting not only our own culture but others into this horrible boring grey, we are LOSING cultures not enriching them!

If Africa had the massive influx we are seeing we would be condoning it and probably holding benefit concerts to help the indigenous peoples, here though we are told to stop being racist.....

 
My wife is half italian and my son has the dark hair and skin and the girlies love him

Nothing wrong with a bit of mixing it up but i agree a country should keep it's identity as in architecture and culture etc

My wifes family didn't come here and turn stevenage into a Catholic italian neighbourhood like the asians are doing in london, luton and Birmingham etc

I wasn't referring to the colour of someones skin, I was referring to the culture etc, I have never given a toss what colour someones skin is.

 
Gurkhas are a good example, they come here to work, they actually wear kilts and play bagpipes! they completely become part of our culture and are proud to do it.

That is how it should be.

soooo, when the English take their language, culture, architecture to the Americas, the Antipodes, much of Africa, subcontinent of India, parts ofAsia and list goes on and on, then that's just dandy? It's very hypocritical.

Wales is in the same political union as England and has seen a massive influx of English in the last couple of decades, particularly in mid Wales where I'm from. Personally I think that this is for the better. There are even a lot of English moving over the border in order to avoid tuition fees for their children going to university. Benefit tourists!

Didn't see anyone say any of that was fine, so you are saying we invaded other countries hundreds of years ago when everyone was doing it and it was just what country's did, but because we were actually very good at it we should now sit back and let ourselves in turn be invaded and be happy about it.

Does that sum it up?
