Moerman

WCF

Help Support WCF:

I think they are standard 30° or maybe 35°

They have a nice feel and something to do with the shape they work better than any other standard handle with liquidators

Yes you just take i end clip off and slide channel in then lock with plastic flip bit on there

You may have to loosen the 2 nuts slightly but that is easy and you'll see what i mean if you get 1

They also grip the rubber once locked

So that is the progrip and not the contour pro then.

The first option is the pro grip. (The one Dave has) As I said make sure you buy for standard channel NOT super channel ( they make both options for both channels). All Ettore handles are about 30° so the Contour Pro is 30°/0° whereas Moerman is 40°/0°

Or, you could try the Contour Pro. Same features as the Moerman. Pivot plus lock at 0° and also has a 'Spring' action from 35° to 0°. If you went for this make sure you get the one for standard channels. I have been really tempted with this but so far, have resisted... /emoticons/smile.pngEttore Contour Pro+ Handle - Window Cleaning Supplies | WWWCS
Oooh guess what I just found in my window cleaning bits and bobs boys an old etorre contour I forgot I had this.

Bought this when they first came out just ordered channel so will try it in both handles

Looking at again Eric it doesn't look much different to the first handle i ever bought which was a Moerman. The only difference I can see is the clip is on opposite side, wonder if they're same angle

I've got one of those bi component handles as well Keefo and I quite like it with the shorter channels. I think you'd find the Ettore would have a different feel and balance. I certainly like the look of it.. And no, the clip system on Ettore is quite different. Only opens enough for you to slide the channel in from one end. Angle. Moerman 40°, Ettore 30°

Wonder if the Ettore pro grip would be better and slightly different angle than the Moerman bi component......when you say 40° for the Moerman I'm guessing you mean liquidator handle.

The one you have in your photos is 40° also. There really isn't any such thing as a Liquidator handle. Both of their handles were out in the marketplace before Liquidator was even thought of. They settled on 40° as did Sorbo and Unger Ninja (although confusingly that is now also available as a 30°). As for feel, don't know, but I personally don't like the Unger Ergotec with Liquidator and that's a 30° handle. Daveyboy has experience with both Unger and Ettore so maybe he could chip in with his thoughts.

Strange as the liquidator looks as if it's at more of an angle than the one in photos.

Just put the liquidator channel into that Moerman handle as photo and I find when it grips the rubber it crinkles/distorts the rubber slightly.

:) put channels in each. Line channels up parallel. They are the same ...promise and yes the teeth are aggressive. I ground mine down with a file.

I don't like unger handles with the liquidator channel it don't feel right but the ettore feels great

I wasn't doubting you Eric [emoji6]

LOL. Maybe you should Keefo. I've just had the nod that the Ettore Contour is actually a 40° handle angle, the same as their Ledger handle. Trust you haven't purchased on the basis of my Faux Pax. No biggie if you have. If you didn't like it I'd buy it off you :) I've got this obsession with a mod that a Japanese guy, Ryu Kataoka did involving a Contour handle... :)

That the mod with the springs @Eric Gilliand ?

He is one clever guy

Had a long conversation with him once but hard when Japanese is translated with google translate

Never reads what it should i think

That's him Davey. I am obsessed with the little video called 'Attack Point". Utilising the spring effect on the Contour handle when set up like he has you get much more of the flipper pad on the glass instead of the small area that the squeegee blade on a standard flipper allows. He really thought that mod through. Genius stuff.

No Eric, not yet. If I was to go for one it would be the pro grip not the contour.....so the pro grip is at 30 ? If I did get the contour it wouldn't be a biggie as it would be same angle as the moerman.

Instead of just Googling and saying yes :) I've have just this minute rubbed the sleep out of my eyes and hit the shed. These are my measurements on the 'ipad protractor app' ( yep I know, anal retentive)... Unger 30°, Wagtail and Sorbo 40°, Moerman (both) 40° (although their black one with longer handle does give the 'impression' that it's slightly steeper). Ettore SS and Brass 35° I don't have the pro grip BUT being fixed I assume the same 35°. Maybe Daveyboy can confirm? For the record I personally use modded Wag at 20° (10,12,14 and 18 liquidators) both in hand and on a pole 95% of the time. There is almost no glass, even with the deepest of frames, that I can't blade effectively. I've settled on Razer Red for older frames and BD (Med/Hard) for new Alu frames and commercial (I've yet to strike PVC frames over here).

Without measuring them i always thought the ettore was slightly more angled hence my previous post when i said 35-40°

I just find it feels good with the liquidator

Definitely agree with the razr red

I have about 8 12" strips i pre cut for my 2 liquidators i use regularly and that will last me over a year

I know i trad less nowadays but it would last ages if tradding all day

I used my old Ettore brass handle (35°as you say)with the liquidator channel today and felt good and worked a treat, just could do with handle slightly longer. It's definitely better than the handle that came out with the liquidator.

I just got mine today and have just fitted it to the etorre pro grip handle and cannot seem to get to grips with it seems to drag and still having to detail as not taking all water off or do I need to change the blade it came with?
