Like Richard says how many can they do in an hour, I've done some granny flats today which were maintenance cleans and not rushing I'm doing 4 per hour so think 5 is doable and thats trad, 6 easily with wfp but it's very compact. I only charge 4 quid for those but only cos they pensioners but £16 per hour ain't too bad for now.

£4 per house is low, how many can be done in 1 hour?

If you take business operating cost and business set up cost - with a modest average cost of £6,000 per year; and then work out the time spent cleaning windows i.e. 1200 hours per year, that gives him a cost of £5 per hour – so if he cleans 3 houses per hour, it’s possible he can stay in business for many years.

Richard
lets hope he doesn't then i can have his customers too .

went to price a job today in the village i live in, quoted £10 detatched house, about 10 sets of windows, from 1 pane, to 3 pane windows, she was after a new price as her wc has put price up from £5 to £6 and she was looking around, she wasnt happy with his work as he rushes and seems to wave the pole around milling corners and cills,

£5 to £6 per house for 2 and 3 beds in leeds is going rate how some of these guys on the pole are claiming £10 and over for standard houses is beyond me and ill only belave it when i see it spoke to a few lads on the pole near me and said they dont charge that much looking at £8 told them about some of the prices ive seen on here including the £1 per window thing and they just laffed to say WTF!!this is comming from some big outfits too.

i can do 3 to 4 a house trad so doing ok 15 to 20 a hour all i want is a 100 a day im happy.

if thats what your happy at then thats all well and good but i know i want to earn as much as i can while i can .

if you earn 100 quid a day for 5 days then thats ok but if it rains for 1 day you lose £100 so your £500 week then turns into

a £400 week and so on and so on .

im happy with it dont get me wrong tho it would be better to have more mate but i honestly cant get how some WFP lads are getting £12 for a 3bed house.

my average for a 3 bed is £10 but it depends how many windows etc to be honest

but im starting to drop my prices now a bit like today a job i was getting £15 for trad i have dropped to £12 doing

the tops wfp and bottoms trad and another one that was £12 i have dropped to £10 just so i can keep my customers happy and be a bit more competitive .

true true dont get me wrong here lads i think its great if you can get big money per house but im yet to meet one person who would say yes to it lol maybe its just a tight area were i am lol

Location is a factor, how far away do you work from where you live?

around 4 or 5 mile some within 3 mile.i know what you mean.
The further I go, the higher the price. My furthest houses are 23.2 miles away from my house. I take this in to consideration when pricing, along with me having to travel back there again to go collecting.

You do know they'll all want digging out on the same morning don't ya, by the time you've dug out the last one the first will be snowed in again lol

The point I was making, it does cost more to run a business, you can still charge low – but is it worth it? If this type of customer doesn’t want to pay any more for the service, just find the right type of customers for your business.

Wfp is a fantastic tool; make full use of it

Richard
