When I clean ours 4bed with con can clean in less then 20 minutes have checked over numerous times always ok my wife is very fussy she would soon let me know if it wasn’t right ? what better test!!

I say this with the upmost respect Pjj it is 30 minutes a rinse and i charge £20 per month per clean, i take my time, as rushing like that crashed my round in the past, I value your input and see what your saying, but i would never do cleans that quick it would breed cat kittens and dogs to boot where i live....

Where in West Midlands are you based? I’m mostly trad and easily knock standard semis off within 30 mins. Don’t let those few moaners you've experienced tar all your customers with the same brush. People just want their windows cleaning. You always get difficult customers but the majority of people just want windows cleaning off someone they can trust. If you do it quickly but they are sparkling then you’ve nothing to worry about.

Good, because doing it so quick and leaving a mess while charging cheap is giving everyone else a bad name, so maybe yall need telling, your on the crack if think customers don't see the mess you leave.. it's very clear we need regulation in the industry to keep the cheap poor quality cleaners off the work.. Too many noobs making a mess...

Really well i have found doing cheap quick cleans would make anyone bankrupt very quickly indeed, 30 minutes makes for a better clean, so if your saying i should cut my time down to 5 minutes per clean and charge less, i could do that but i would loose so many customers and be bankrupt in a week... This is the problem i am trying to get at, that speed cleaning makes the customer feel like they have been robbed by bilbo baggins.

You might make a lot, but i bet you get a lot of complaints & messers on your rounds doing it that way. we did and when we were doing speed cleans, i looked at those complaining there was nothing really wrong with the cleans they were ok but there were bits left behind & that's what lead to me really starting to see what worked better, this silly culture of speed cleaning is whats given us all a bad name as window cleaners... Beer money prices no thank you... ppl who are desperate for money charge cheap and speed clean instead of slowing down and doing a quality clean... quality can not be done in less than 30 minutes..

Got a complaint for cutting a bush and they cancelled next few days. It was the hardest clean and probably took nearly 30mins. Yesterday is my big luxury day where I take over £300 and no one complains. I think you are quite young and want to be a perfectionist. We were all there once but no money in it. If any of my customers complain twice then I say they can always find some one else to clean for them.

when i go to new cleans, comments about other cleaners are, he was not doing it properly, or he is here less than five minutes... They literally demand 30 minutes of cleaning and rinsing per month, i am happy to do it & charge £20 per clean, but there are so many cheap cleaners in my way, i feel like i am fighting against fraudsters in my area westmidlands is where i am.. Once i get a customer in the door they never leave, i have had most of my customers for 14 years now. I'd like to expand on that a little but when i go canvassing i am finding these cheap cowboy types everywhere and they are literally ripping off their customers with speed cleans and leaving a mess they don't even remove the staining on the frames from hard ground in carbon... So i just feel like ppl really just lie to them self on here a little too much..

We do over 4,000 cleans per month and honestly we get less than a handful of complaints in several years and usually the complaint isn’t a valid one it’s usually dirt inside . We don't loose customers unless they die or move ??? ,have had I think 4 cancel due to the cost of living and that’s it , still picking up work every week and loads of add on jobs there doesn’t seam to be any shortage of cash being spent down hear , all the softwashing jobs we are doing are big houses and very good money people arnt hesitating as soon as we give them a price it’s yes that’s fine how soon can you do it ,been like this since January very unusual so early in the year , it sounds to me like you must be working in a poorer area ? Again we do a thorough job of it needs 30 muinits we take 30 muinits but I honestly wouldn’t stay longer than the job needs the customer has agree to the price so if the Windows are clean wether it takes 5 muinits or an hour it’s of no consequence . Again maybe it’s the background of the customers you have ? That they want to see you slaving away for a long time for the money , the vast majority of our customers arnt in when we clean the windows but those that are have never said anything derogatory about how long we have been there . You say rushing around crushed your business before not sure what you mean by that ? You can only clean a window and frame so much once it’s clean it’s clean ,after the initial clean it’s an easy job every 4 weeks apart from stuff that’s covered in bird poo or salt

I work to a 4 x 3 bed semis per hour rate on a monthly rota. In the entire time I’ve been working I’ve had about 3 complaints. There’s no way I could take 30 mins to clean a semi even with a large conservatory!

We don’t leave a mess and it doesn’t take 30 muinits to clean an average house and leave it 100% clean . Come down here and we will take you out for a day and show you first hand how to do the job properly and at a reasonable speed .

I think you have a serious attitude problem and they may be part of the reason you are struggling to grow. To start calling other windows cleaners because you’re struggling is just rude. I’ve taken a lot of advice off people on here and it’s tremendously contributed to my business. Just because someone is cheaper doesn’t mean they do a poorer job. I hear people on here saying what they earn and mine is a third less. But im happy and will happily get out of bed and go and do a proper job for my customers.

The more one does the quicker one gets. I clean a big conny and have recently found an easier way to clean it. First I get a damp cloth and wipe the gutter and the sill all round it and then clean the glass. I find it's a lot quicker that way.

I very much doubt it we have we have a wide variety of customers houses values from £275k to well over 10 million and a lot of very fussy customers and a lot of famous people who certainly won’t accept second rate workmanship ???

Most people will look and if not happy will complain we all have different standards that we consider to be acceptable so there will be variations but but the vast majority not pay for a service if they aren’t happy with it .

facts.. if you are not spending at least 30 minutes per clean on a regular monthly clean, then you are not rinsing enough and are likely leaving a mess behind after you leave, that's science babe water needs time to drop dirt down. Experience means nothing if your cleans look bad minutes after the fact.. I see it all the time i get calls about these cleaners everyday, you say you have 30 years experience, but if you haven't learned that it's 30 minutes plus to clean, in the 30 years you have been working, then something may not be right with your cleans. I have been cleaning 14 years even i know that...
