This is what happened on the text when he cancelled me:

CUSTOMER: Good afternoon please take this as notice i no longer require my windows cleaning. thanks for your services

I was thinking why am i getting so many cancellations ? So i decided to bring in a new policy wer i text each customer that cancels me and ask them thi: ( THIS IS WHAT I REPLYED )

Okay may i ask why ? because we are always looking to improve our service /emoticons/smile.png please let us know

he replys back saying :

cost cutting we have a lot of out goings at the moment with moving in to this bigger house, can i say that there was nothing wrong with the service and when we get ourselves sorted we will get back in touch

/emoticons/smile.png am going to text every customer saying that now /emoticons/tongue.png/emoticons/wink.png lol

At least you know now why.... /emoticons/wink.png What size house was it, how often and how much did you charge?

I think this might rub a few up the wrong way, it serves no end really to spend your time doing that, unless there is something majorly wrong with your service, that you are unaware of and need told. Really what it really boils down to, is that cancellations are disheartening, and that your first assumption is that you have done something wrong, or could have done something better.

Let thats guys text be a lesson that it shouldn't be your first assumption. If someone cancels. I just say thank you for your custom, can I leave you with a card and if you need our service again, give us a call.

it wont streak cos i use purified water /emoticons/smile.png if u arent happy call me within 24 hours and i will redo them for free /emoticons/smile.png

lol

Cost cutting could just mean they had a cheaper quote. I've had a couple say they can't afford it any more. I have not seen anyone cleaning them but their windows have remained suspisciously clean.

the problem with asking them why they are cancelling is that most people dont like confrontation so they WILL lie, 'were cutting costs' is an easy way out for them, but you should know yourself how good a job you do, if you are regular and on time, if you ever/never skip a window, or if your always there a week early, etc, if you know you did all of the above correctly and you know you charge fairly then you shouldnt need to ask the custy

welll i done a good job anyway and he even said that so oh well gotta move on lol
"Oh thats brilliant, never seen my windows look so good" always a danger sign, they are the ones who cancel. I don't know why its just something I have had happen a few times.
