Sorry. Forgot to cover that. :hiding:Can you use resi neck swivels with Aquadapter?
Yes, that's one way.
Cheers @spruce your an absolute ****STAR**** /emoticons/smile.png/emoticons/wink.png/emoticons/smile.png Just about to hit the checkout button BUT just one more question please /emoticons/wink.png regarding the hose I think Ill go for the 8M COLD/HOT POLE HOSE 8MM OD http://aqua-dapter.co.uk/product/8m-pole-hose-red/ I mainly use my SLX18 for the majority of my cleans and I've laid it out tonight fully extended and if I order the 8m Hose (26") it would give me around six feet of extra hose before conecting to my main water hose! Im just wandering what length hose you would recommend that I order the 8m or the 15m http://aqua-dapter.co.uk/product/15m-hot-hose-red/ Im just conscious that this hose will be a lot stiffer than I'm used to working with and wander what its like to work around if you know what I mean mate? Cheers GreenerSorry for late reply. Just finished an internal clean and got home at 10.45. Been a busy day - I'm buggered.
I've just had a look on their website. They supply 2 types, the orange and the red, both 8mm OD.
We use the orange as we are only using cold water and its fine.
I have also got the red on one pole and I prefer it. Its slightly stiffer as its designed for use with hot water. It's long lasting - I bought a coil of red and orange a couple of years ago for 'stock' and haven't touched it yet. We have 4 A/D's on the go at the moment including one on an SLX 40.
We use EZ snap connectors from Gardner's but A/D also do some - Rectus 21. We use a Female 8mm Rectus 21 for our Minibore hose. (If you use Microbore then the 6mm Female Rectus 21 is the one to go for. Pick barb size from the drop down box.)
http://aqua-dapter.co.uk/product/end-stop-female-socket-connector-rectus-21/
You would then buy a 6mm male Rectus 21 for the A/D pole hose.

or
http://aqua-dapter.co.uk/product/male-hosetail-stainless-steel-6mm-rectus-21/
The 7-9mm O Rings work to tighten the hose onto the fittings. They need to be 'encouraged' on.

To Protect these fits add a set of 360 Protectors. For £3 + VAT a set they will stop the end of the connectors from getting damaged. Highly recommended.
Order a couple of replacement springs as they are a wearing part. (They seem to be much more durable these days but have to replace them about once a year.

and one of these;
http://aqua-dapter.co.uk/product/aqua-dapter-trigger/
I would also order a couple of these. They are cheap. On one A/D we had to insert one into the end of the orange hose to give the connector a firm bit of hose the hold onto. You most likely will not need to use it. (When A/D's first came out we had yellow hose and we had to fit inserts into the end on each length of them. But if you do need one then the postage will be make each insert quite expensive.)

The hose coils up quite firmly. I love that as it coils up nicely when putting the pole away in the van. The downside is that you need to spend a couple of seconds uncoiling it before trying to extend your pole. If you don't do this the hose with tangle up at the bottom of your pole.
IMHO Aquadapter is one of the best inventions in the wfp market. It will pay for itself with water and time saving in no time. Those 360 protectors are also on that list toward the top. Follow fitting instructions and they work great.
If our experience is anything to go on I would just order the 8m length. It will last for years with normal everyday use. You may not like it so having an extra length to hand maybe a waste. If you plan to add a length to your SLX to make a 22 then you will need a bit more. Unfortunately you will be left with a length you pay for but which is too short to use.Cheers @spruce your an absolute ****STAR**** /emoticons/smile.png/emoticons/wink.png/emoticons/smile.png Just about to hit the checkout button BUT just one more question please /emoticons/wink.png regarding the hose I think Ill go for the 8M COLD/HOT POLE HOSE 8MM OD http://aqua-dapter.co.uk/product/8m-pole-hose-red/ I mainly use my SLX18 for the majority of my cleans and I've laid it out tonight fully extended and if I order the 8m Hose (26") it would give me around six feet of extra hose before conecting to my main water hose! Thanks @spruce Ive also got an SLX22 with extension for my 3 storey houses, so Ill see how I get on with the SLX18 with Aqua-Dapter and possibly purchase another with the 15m hose for that if I like it /emoticons/wink.png I really appreciate your help mate, all the best GreenerIf our experience is anything to go on I would just order the 8m length. Its will be totally different to what you are using now. But as long as you uncoil it before using the pole it will be fine. Its not a lay flat hose so it will tend to coil even when you uncoil it and lay it out. For me that's great as I hook my brush under it to pick it up. It does get slightly easier to manage with age though.
Looks like yeah thanks I saw that yesterday
So @spruce following you terrific advice I'm now the proud owner of a shiney blue AQUA-DAPTOR /emoticons/wink.png and 360 protector's /emoticons/wink.png and I used it for the first time yesterday and I've got to say its probably the best £80ish notes I've spent in a while, its an ABSOLUTELY fantastic device. The day just went so much better, I was always very aware about the amount of water I wasted while reaching for my inline tap fitted to my pole hose what with it being 85ft away from the end off the pole LOL >/emoticons/smile.png so thanks again for your great advice.Sorry for late reply.
