Gutter Vac Protection!

Strap a brolly to the vac works a treat or put a flexi tub over the head of the vac

Thanks for the reply, I've considered putting a flexi tub on top but wont this effect the filters on the side of the machine (GVS Panther)

Most of the vacs are not rated to be used in the rain so you need to shield it from the rain but not block the exhaust from the vac. As for extension leads a bucket over the top should be OK but you must make sure the extension lean has an earth leakage circuit breaker on the plug end. Water and electricity don't mix plus you will be using carbon or ali poles which also conduct electricity so if you can help it don't work in bad rain when using electricity. Also if you are using a geny be extra careful as as there is no earth!!!!! (unless you have used an earth spike).
