Thanks I guess that is something they very much specialise within and can understand the price if for two days work, but appreciate their response. I need to learn as I am every night on here how to price add for a conservatory as a lot of the property's near me are bungalows with these.
Insides are fiddly especially around the closers and the hinges on opening Windows, there used to be a firm called Thomas Sanderson who did inside and outside valet service they were very expensive I always got customers to phone for a price they were always well over £1000-1500 for an avarage size conservatory I used to say we will do it for half there price , we got 99% of all jobs we quoted , now I just price stuff like this at the pricing the same rate as before they went out of business and we still get the vast majority.

wow that's very impressive, I guess this takes a bit of learning over time to be able to this to a high standard, do you have to remove sections when your doing this and use a specialist cleaner solution,? just interested as not come across this service offered before.

Don't just think windows, As you are starting out go for a conservatory. It doesn't matter if it takes you 2 days to start as this could be the same income as X20 window cleans depending on the size and area you pitch. We charge a minimum of £250 external and £350 internal external. If you can get x1 of these a week it will ease the pain while you build up the window cleaning round. They do take longer and they are normally a lot more work than windows, but you will also spend more time with the customer so they will get to know you a bit more and hopefully you may be able to pick up their family and the houses around the location as the van will be parked there all day which gives people a chance to come and find you or take your number off the van.
You say you are in sales so door knocking and talking to people should be your easy part.
Always flyer or knock the houses next to the one you are servicing as this will bring your round up quicker and less start stop when you have a few in a row.
I wish we could get those prices here. If I quoted that for a conservatory clean I would be dialling 999 immediately afterwards. ?

We do remove the internal trim that’s at the ridge and clean on the top of it as they get covered in dust and dead flies , generally normal house hold chemicals will suffice, but sometimes stronger stuff is required , usually it’s only grime , mould and dust to remove the hardest thing is getting it out of joints .

Ha Ha it depends on what you are offering, if its a rinse down external and you are only there two hours you could be getting locked up, if you are there the half or full day and you clean every area then this would be cheap, what do you need to charge for a full day? This is no difference except less fuel spent. We have been charging these prices for almost 10 years and doing this for over 17 years. We know we used to charge this nationally until we reduced this just to Kent so I know they are out there. :)

That sounds again some great advice, if property's you clean have conservatory's do you always charge and include the windows and roofs on your monthly clean ?. If I understand correctly though your quoting to properly clean the frames gutters fascia's etc as a completely separate item.
For Us no, we keep these separate as this way we get a better return. Most window cleans would do the external side glass within a property window clean. If this is the case some customers would want the roof done once a year or every now and then when it needs it. Our conservatory cleans normally come around every two years, some every year but not many. If you can get the internal as well then you are normally there for the day which is a bonus for you as not traveling around all day keeping the fuel costs lower and double the rate.

exactly that there are others that still charge more than us but we know what we charge is fare for the transformations that they conservatory gets
TS were country wide so people will pay for a good service, no one lasts long if they do not stand up to what they are charging.

Same here in yorkshire. I quoted one just the other day external only £80 which i thought was on the cheap side and me giving here a preferential rate as an existing customer.....she didnt think so face on her told the story . I dont bother with connys, fsg and gutters anymore generally because they wont pay the price i want and i can earn more doing windows. Whilst they baulk at paying me £50 per hour to clean their conservatory they will happily pay me £12 for 10 mins or less cleaning their windows, i dont think they do the math.

I think this just boils down to pure marketing and goes to prove if you can market your business and sell it properly people will pay almost anything if they are getting the perceived value. Its all about finding the right customer and exactly why big companys in any field can literally have to obtain maybe 50 leads to qualify 10 and make 1 or 2 sales... its a different world to most of us guys just rinsing down a conny for 100 quid or so and maybe getting 50% of jobs we quote.

Some folk up our way can squeeze a 5p coin so hard that Queen Elizabeth's eyes water.

I quoted £55 to clean a conservatory roof once. I could visibly see the strength draining from his legs. The thought did cross my mind that if he had a heart attack, could I be charged with manslaughter?

I had a customer wanted a quote for the conservatory roof very green needed some attention. They were a old couple been doing the windows some time so i said £50 which was a fair price for its size. The man had hearing aids he said £15 that’s to much I repeated to much !.Then his wife said someone had cleaned it 2years ago for £10 .Never got cleaned but still do there windows £20 a go the mind boggles with the way some people think

Possibly but there is no reason why every person cannot give a full valet rather than a rinse as you said, obviously this takes longer and so you should get paid more for the extra time. How many customers do you have ? I am sure that you did not just get given them, so you must have sold yourself to get them and give a good service to keep them. Its no different. Give it a go next time, the worst can happen you loose the £100

Crazy, I know guys up that way that are charging the same as us, maybe a new area within your surroundings and people that can do the math lol. We are the opposite I could not stop start all day for those £12s but we are all different I guess.

I prefer window cleaning, dont need to book anything in or constanly advertise. Just go out bash out 300 quid of work finish by 2pm and go home. Once youve weeded all the awkward jobs and bad payers etc its a breeze. Boring but easy.

Honestly i hate it when somene asks me to clean their conny these days, i dont have the time, they wont pay me £50 an hour so its just better for them if they save their breathe tbh :D
