Hello all,

a subject commonly addressed, making your own water, i have a tds of 124 out my taps at home i also have a unger hydro power ultra, i ran through it last week and had a 0 tds, will this be enogh to do the window cleaning and not leave spotting or dose this also require another filter, id like to make my own only looking at making 200 - 300 lters as i use spotless water but its miles from me and would benifit from having a small system at home.

0 tds is what you want but the cost of running the hydro power might be expensive compared to a small ro.

Basically no, there was a fella on Facebook last week who was wondering why the same piece of Unger kit wasn't lasting and his tds was shooting up to 80ppm in 30 minutes, those unger things are very expensive for what they are and will cost you a small fortune compared to a DI vessel and a bag of resin, but with a tap tds of 124 you need an RO
