Can anyone tell me what's the deal with hand scraping windows with a scraper is? I've always scraped windows on my first cleans to get all the solid **** off, but I'm told that some windows aren't scratch ressistent and this could lead to damaged windows. Any help would be appreciated as I don't want to damage windows and ruin my reputation. With thanks

New blade in scraper

Wet glass

Scrape in one direction in one continuous movement

Wipe blade

Repeat if necessary

Take your time and you should have no problems but don't try it on any glass that has a coating on, tinting, self cleaning

Use some 000 bronze or steel wool

Much quicker than scraping a whole window

That is how the Americans do it on their cleans
