Iam looking into van systems at the moment but unsure about what filtration system I want/need. Iam in a hard water area about 230ppm. Would I need di vessel + ro system ? Iam guessing the ro will bring down the ppm before it gets to the resin in the vessel. Hence saving on resin. Is this the reason people go for a system with both ? I want a system were I can just fill up the tank from a hose connected to the tap at home and that would be the water for the day etc.

Sounds about right but you need decent water pressure (60psi+) or a booster pump.

Why do you need decent water pressure ? Do you mean from tap or pump that would be in the van ?

You will need a ro get a pressure tester to check water pressure im low pressure area so went for a 1200 ro system with booster pump 120lph i fill every night strate in to my tank but if you can store 1000l ibc then a slow ro will be perfect

It is far cheaper to have a delivery only system in the van and produce and store your pure in a garage / shed. I'm talking about thousands on the initial purchase, less time dsily and better fuel consumption.
