The vac has a standard 5m hose - on big jobs have various lengths of ducting hose that I take with me. It allows me to either not move the vac or go up a ladder and take the hose with me onto a roof. Speeds up jobs.
Ducting hose is so much better than the standard ribbed vac hose because sludge does not get caught on the walls of the hose. I never need to clean ducting hose whereas the standard vac hose is always full of mud and needs washing out. Ducting hose does not kink.
I got 50meters of 50mm of Gumtree for 20 quid there is always an underground services person who sells it off cheap, either on there or facebook market place...
The gutter pole just slots into the ducting hose, no silicone reducer needed, the connection for vac hose to connect to ducting hose is a standard length of down pipe about 100mm with a jubilee clipped bolted the the middle of the down pipe, just push the hose and ducting together onto the down pipe.
