Going to order Gutter-Xtreme V3 poles but I'm after more 50mm hose and cuffs. Any recommendations?

Hose, hose couplings and flexible silicone neck.

I've got 10m of hose which costs about £40 other places are over £120 keen to know what others where using to work out how it's three times the price. Same for other parts, 135 degree neck ebay £10 skyvac about £50!

It pays to shop around , we use a lot of two ear clamps for hoses , if I buy them from the normal wfp companies they are 45-75 pence each ,I buy them from the stockists and pay 10 pence each big difference.

I use this -

The vac has a standard 5m hose - on big jobs have various lengths of ducting hose that I take with me. It allows me to either not move the vac or go up a ladder and take the hose with me onto a roof. Speeds up jobs.

Ducting hose is so much better than the standard ribbed vac hose because sludge does not get caught on the walls of the hose. I never need to clean ducting hose whereas the standard vac hose is always full of mud and needs washing out. Ducting hose does not kink.

I got 50meters of 50mm of Gumtree for 20 quid there is always an underground services person who sells it off cheap, either on there or facebook market place...

The gutter pole just slots into the ducting hose, no silicone reducer needed, the connection for vac hose to connect to ducting hose is a standard length of down pipe about 100mm with a jubilee clipped bolted the the middle of the down pipe, just push the hose and ducting together onto the down pipe.

Thanks for the advice. It makes sense that the ducting hose is better than the included Flexi Hose that comes with the Skyvac, due to the smooth internal walls.

Thank you for that link. So I should buy 50mm width? Did 3 blocks of flats on Tuesday and it was a pain having to keep moving the machine along with me. Would be so much easier to get the ducting hose!

Yeah mate 50mm is the best to get. Ideally buy it second hand because you won't really need a 50m length. BTW the vac will probably suck through 50m, mine did I tested it. Probably best with three 10m sections and just connect it to the vac hose.

I use it for a lot of jobs, spacious properties and commercial jobs. Saves a lot of time. Did one the other day where there is no access to the rear of house. Just parked the vac at front of house and ran the hose through the hall kitchen while the owner sat  and listened to all the mud going through her house to the vac.

Had a look today at some larger diameter hose thats been used for cables and that isn't any use for gutter work. Not workable at all and would be a complete pita imo, the guys said take some if you want but no use even if it's free.
