We are with then now. Ok ish but problems along the way. Their TV thing is just a useless box of plastic. Freezes all the time. Can wait to leave although not sure who we would go to next.

I've been with talktalk for about 3 years now not really had much problems better than I thought due reputation.

Bit late for that now as the virgin contract is cancelled. I will give taltalk 12 months and see how it goes.

We found talk talk a little slow but really good , I'd stick with virgin

I think virgin is now vastly overpriced. It depends what use internet for. And talk talk do fast broadband as well. We've just upgraded to that all 4 kids now use their own laptops. But when we just used one. Or 2 pc,s phone line bband fine. Keep an open mind. As the mind seeks what it thinks on ie problems if you know what I mean

I've been with virgin a very long time and one of the reasons for change was the price for sure compaired to what others offer now.

Quick updated folks even though I booked an appointment through talktalk for an engineer to visit the house tomorrow I had a text from openreach cancelling the appointment as the said they don't need to visit the house. Shortly afterwards I received another text this time from talktalk to remind me the engineer will be calling at my house between 8-1 tomorrow. Then to top it off I received the wireless router with a sticker on it saying connect the router on the 23rd as will be activated that day when I was told by text from talktalk the activation date would be on the 25th...WTF:confused:

Anyway nice knowing you folks as can't see me getting back online for a while after tonight /emoticons/biggrin.png

Open reach tried to pull a fast one with me, Saidd they wernt booked to put medem in the living room only in the hall down stairs. I said I would phone talk talk as they said it could go where ever I wanted, the engineers soon changed there mind, is it ordinary braodband or faster broadband you are getting. If it is faster braodband enigineer will need in your house as it is a defferent connection. Sounds like there has been no communication between BT (open reach) and Talk Talk.

I'm just getting the chepo one so just need to connect the router to the phone line. Mind you I suppose they are just going to route it through the existing fiberoptic cable to my house as I have the old ntl box on the wall for cable tv/internet then another cable coming out of that box to a phone connection box that I'm still using now.

I would do 2 things or both, make sure you keep text brom BT and or let talk talk know what BT have told you because if an engineer does turn up and you are not in you would be charged for it.
