No probs...How did you get on today?

Aaah....I didn't realise that about the waste water... I did actually save a little for my plants, and I swilled down my yard but I did feel a little wasteful emptying most of it away so this is really handy to know... If things progress I will probably get a little pump.. Thank you for the good advice smurf as it's given me food for thought i.e.... little things like connecting wfp to the customers tap which will conserve my water, and the virosol, which I read about in one of your previous threads, which will hopefully lift the grime off quick as a flush... I'll take a few snaps and post up my results tomorrow...

Bump...How did you get on today @tootyclub ?

Well it went perfectly.... I pulled up on the job and dumped all my gear on the garden and headed straight up the ladder with the virosol anwar gave it a good mist over, then went round the back and filled my water drum with tap water and then filled my trolley with it... pole straight up without pump on to see what it was like and ...... oh my god it moving immediately so I powered up amd used the smallest flow setting and within about 7 mins the front was done ... I couldn't believe it...

Hot footed it round the back and plugged my pole in to outside tap, jumped up ladder and soaked with virosol, went round front and cleaned the windows trad which took about 10 mins as I took my time and I kept constantly admiring job...

Went round back, turned tap on and had to lower pressure as it was like a firemans hose... Stripped all the gunge off the back in just over 7 mins so I'm made up..... I've not seen the lass who owns the house yet but the next door neighbour commented on how gleaming they are and I'm doing his next month as well as pointing up his chimney stack!!! ... I already clean his windows anyway so this was music to my ears when he praised the job.... I mentioned his chimney stack which has a total of about 2mtrs and has loads of hungry joints and needs doing so we've agreed on a price of £130 for the lot....which is a good price for him and a happy one for me..

What I will say though is my upper body, particularly my sholders are aching and triceps, but it was enjoyable...

I was actually happy to get back to trad afterwards and i 'm looking forward to hopefully doing a mixture of both... I took a few photos and will post them at some point but times are busy in my house as I have a six month old son who craves attention and a girlfriend who likes to whinge on haha.....

All in all though, I think I have made a sound investment and it is bearing fruit already . I'm chuffed with the flow rates the trolley pumps out and it doesn't drain water as fast as I thought it would....

Oh..... and a big thumbs up to virosol... even as it was cascading back in to my eyes during spraying, it didn't irritate them and shifted the gunge off no problem.. As soon as I get my new pressure sprayer and master my technique I reckon I'll be sorted...

I was reading the posts, but time is getting on. Your right the posts are entertaining. Love the diy and the recycling.

With respect to your water and contamination, the plastic containers can contaminate depending on the container.

I opted for water butts sourced through my water company. I will buy, once i have built my water shed, workshop, summerhouse 2, 1000 ltr water containers from pure freedom at £100 each. One for pure water and one for waste water. the waste water i will use for watering the garden, cleaning my wheelie bin, paths, decking, drive etc.

I like your thinking about storing ro waste water to be used around the house. Only problem for me would be where to store all the waste I produce as 1000 ibc would not be enough as I'm producing anything upto 1000 ltrs of pure per day.
