how much would you charge for cleaning this house?

£20 looks about right for me & what I would charge for that Adams 0211. I'm in Hertfordshire too, (Stortford) so similar area of the country.

I doubt I would get that one done in 15mins tbh. maybe 20 to 25mins. but I'm mid 40's so not as sprightly as some of you whipper snappers! /emoticons/biggrin.png

@kahoona the difference is you're in Stortford me and @Adams0211 are in stevenage which is not so upmarket20 quid Neil has done well to get for that imo
point taken Davey funny how different towns so close together have such variances on price. Take Harlow for instance, just down from me, friends of mine are charged £8 by their windy, for a 4 bed semi! & thought I was made when I said to them min. £15 for me to it. few miles up the road & they are biting my hand off for £15 on a 3 bed semi.

I have been pushing up my prices this year and still get 8 of 10 quotes, so i think theres still room for me go up.

Lol never mind guys, i went back there just now and got turned down after i said £50. The woman smiled and said her last guy did it for £20! I personally don't see how thats possible to clean all windows for that low. Btw, the house turned out to to be even bigger than expected!

I'm sure almost everyone on here will agree £20 looks very low for that, I wouldn't be surprised if she calls you back after getting a few more quotes in.

Also sorry if you already said earlier in the thread but do you know what happened to her previous w/c?

Probably disappeared because he got fed up earning **** money for a job that's worth a lot more.

View attachment 8923 Out of interest, what would you lot charge for this. I've been doing this one for about a year now. One first floor window on each side plus a door on one side. The back is the same as the front but with a patio door instead of a front door (obviously).
£30 bi monthly £25 monthly

LOL exactly, seriously. Imagine a house so big its basically the size of double front house+a semi-detached 3 bedroom house with a big garage and off street parking. Im way more annoyed at the previous wc for charging a peanut than anything else. how can you clean all windows for just £20?!!?

Idiot...

To be fair, some people are happy working for less money. Even if it took someone two hours that's £10 an hour. More than you'd earn working in a shop or a restaurant. It doesn't help the rest of us when people are charging that low though.

This is what winds me up the most lately people selling them selfs short and doing a job for peanuts just to get it.

Looked at a shop recently that was being cleaned for £3.

And also looked at care home that was being cleaned for £100 and was being cleaned by two people and it was tacking them nearly a day.

When a proper company offering a quality service with insurance and paying uk tax etc come along and quote a job properly what chance do we have?
