20" Pentek CFB- Fibredyne Filters

The online shop I used to purchase these from no longer stock them, looked online price seams to have gone up quite a bit.

I payed £24 + vat and postage previously am I missing a reliable stocker that everyone els is using?

No.

Try GAPS Water, but prices have gone up a fair bit.

Grippa also do them.

I gave up searching for the fibredyne and I’m currently trialling this one :

for the price and filter life I can’t see anything that gets close, free P&P too. So far so good. I won’t let it get to the suggested 170.000ltr life and will try and get hold of a chlorine tester to check it’s actually removing what it says it is. I’ve put 20k litres through it so far and had no performance issues.

That's a 0.5 micron filter and the temp rating is high so works better in very warm water due to molecule size. As it gets colder you will find it will slow your production rate down.

The CFB Plus is 5 micron with temp rating as low as 4.4 degree c so far more suitable for our water temperature

I agree with what Doug has said I bought some Pentek filters which were 0.5 micron and they only processed about 35,000 litres instead of the stated 75,000 litres Grippatank sell them they are black with a white mesh but they don't list the micron size and say they are a high performance filter
