Hey, may seem  daft but I wondered whats best after you've produced your water for the day or week. Do you close off your valve tap on the ro to stop water leaking about? or leave it open to drain out? Coz if you disconnect it all to bring in from the cold for some time, couldnt this kind of dry it out and mess it up? I dont know, its why I ask as there dont seem to be many instructions with them.

In the early days our r/o was outside at the back tap. When I brought it inside the inlet hose, the waste and the pure outlets were tied above the membranes.and we never had an issue.

In fact the same r/o has been sitting under my workbench in the garage for the past 6 years. A year ago I pulled it out and connected it up and ran it. It was still producing water at a similar tds to when it was pensioned off and the 5 year old resin in its di vessel was still taking the tds down to zero.

So our experience is to keep it warm and make sure the open pipes are above the height of the membranes so water doesn't syphon out.
