And sorry to disagree @jtc but you should always include frames snd sills as standard practice.
i dont tend to do many gpc.i may wip me pole around em.my mate does a more detailed frame clean by using liquids on them.the lad is a 100% trad cleaner.i wasnt keen on doing them when i was totally trad.

Def charge we bit extra but wen I do first clean which I'm doinloads of at min I say takes t least 2times as long. Better do right first time thn after the job be easy web bak next time

My first cleans wfp take maximum 5 minutes longer than a normal clean on an average 3 bed

No need for all the faffing about

Just scrub and rinse

I find using my pump sprayer with ubik and water helps massively

Spray the windows from the ground and then scrub everything well and rinse

It was a tiny house [emoji23]For a minute i thought you meant that I could choose whether I wanted to trad or wfp and wondered if you'd lost the plot [emoji23]

You already know I've lost the plot

First cleans will normally take me almost 3 X as long as a maintenance clean...customers would probably baulk at paying 3 X so I usually go double...once clean fully on first clean the maintenance clean is a quick frame wipe/pre detail after the applicator...be careful on the first clean, I've been caught out a few times with customers that have no intention of joining the round and for the reason explained above the hourly rate normally suffers on a first clean (even at double) and it's seriously hard graft compared to the maintenance clean...I always have a good chat now before the first clean, ask and agree the frequency that they would like me to clean, give them a rate for the maintenance clean and a higher rate for an 'every other' clean as none will admit to being a 'skipper' so that is covered from the outset...if the customer says they just want a one off I go at least X3, take it or leave it (most take it)...the only other thing that has caught me out a couple of times is when I view the windows and I'm thinking "they don't look too bad" and the customer says "they were only done three months ago" I've quoted at flat rate or X1.5 only to get up the ladder and they're black, seems some customers have a go at doing the downstairs themselves...good luck with your venture.

Thanks mate. Deffo need to ask before i give a priceon how often they want them doing. Think ive lost quite a bit not asking til after ive done the job. Got a few that have been like oh ill message you in a few weeks... Wont hold breath on it though..

Here's my beginners guide to minging windows.

With respect, if you were doing this up a ladder on a double fronted bay window, it would take a lot longer and more work. I myself just use a spray and squeegee (Wagulator), and have done a first clean this week. Personally I don't agree with 'just wiping the frame' when you clean, because I have found that windows can get pretty dirty in 4 or 5 weeks, so for me it has to be a wash not a wipe.

I always look at the frame when I'm cleaning...if the wipe over with a damp cloth doesn't do the job it gets done until it's clean...I clean six - eight weekly, I never really need to do more than a ten second frame wipe to get them spotless (village location, no traffic).
