Are window cleaners still allowed to work during Coronavirus (Covid-19)?

Just thought I would give a bit of a heads up, I applied for a mortgage holiday last Sunday via Halifax website but hadn't heard anything back at all, got through to them as soon as the phone lines opened this morning at 9am to be told the request hadn't shown on their system 

She said I could have inputted an incorrect digit or something, but this wasn't flagged via the online form, hopefully other banks have better systems to prevent a form been submitted incorrectly then it falling through, thankfully got it all sorted from a very helpful and pleasant adviser.

I don’t think it will be as long as people think it will be I don’t think it will be three months because things are changing all the time Government supposed to be bringing our test that tell u if you had it if you had it you can’t catch it or affect anyone so u can go back to work

Use the same bank for mortgage and when rang up and asked about holiday they sorted it straight away , says after the 3month our payments will be abit more as still need pay interest rate for the 3 month holiday

Nationwide have told us ours is on hold as from April and will only have to pay the interest back in 3 years when the mortgage is finished.

We have a low mortgage which is nearly paid so will have an extra £150 payment at the end of the loan and nothing extra to pay when the mortgage holiday is over.

Whilst I agree about the test the rest to be fair is codswallop. There isn't enough evidence to tell us if those that have had can't get it again. Anyone expecting to get back to work before June are more than likely be very disappointed.

I’ve just had domino’s stick 3 menus through my door, and I’m not allowed to work in a job I am 100% social distanced in. 
 

You can’t have one rule for one and not the other. This “80%” we will recieve is deceptive as we then pay a further 20% tax on what is essentially fake money printed out of thin air. 
 

I’m taking this seriously and implementing all the correct protocols but the government is taking the absolute p*** out the self employed here. 
 

If you look at the details in all these mandates, they want rid of all these small businesses and push everyone to work for the big corporations so they can track, trace and control everything your doing. How is it okay for me to go apply to work in an Amazon warehouse, or a Tesco storage unit, where you’ll be exposed to hundreds of people. But not work on my own, where I can have zero contact throughout the day if I do choose? Yes people need supplies, but if they are taking this seriously they wouldn’t be pushing people into them positions.
 

Wouldn’t trust them as far as I could throw them. Sorry for the rant but I can’t get over the sheer arrogance and double standards. 
 

p.s Should caveat that by saying I believe the virus is a massive threat to our nation, I’ve taken days off last week, and I hope everyone gets through it. I’m not burying my head in the sand but, they are taking advantage of this situation big time which is sickening.

When Government said they would revue in 3 weeks after the self isolation, I thought I can last 3 weeks, no problem. Things escalated quickly and I think it will be 8 weeks personally before a slackening of the self isolation and a chance of returning doing some work. The saving grace is they finally put a package in place for the self employed even if it will take  sometime in June to see the money.

I think the test is proof that it is not codswallop Because it tells you that you have  antibodies in your blood that will fight the infection up to 6 months there is your proof The doctors are even telling you that

I do believe the experts do know what they are talking about I do respect your opinion but I do believe we need a bit of hope not Gloom

Our payment is due out on the 1st of the month and the request had been processed, I was happy for the April one to go out. I think she said no interest would be added for the 3 months holiday, then we will get a letter the weeks before the holiday is finished about the increase in payment, which I am fine with we were overpaying anyway and hopefully I can still get it paid of in the next 5 years as planned

I'm not a conspiracy nut but also I do understand how the world is run by the likes of the Rothschilds not the government's we elect.

It is a serious situation we are in but they can still use it to their own benefit once it is over.

Just read a report from a very influential think tank on the world now and after this is all over. Their best guess is September 2021 by the way. The world will change forever it would have happened eventually but this will speed everything up. Only bright spot is global emissions will fall drastically and stave of some of the threat to world from global warming. People with elderly parent that become ill with this disease will be told to keep them comfortable and at home as NHS will not be able to cope, at least you will be able to be with parents as they die, in hospitals now they die alone as no contact allowed due to social isolation rules. The death rate will be enormous and last for months, people will have to go back to work while all this carnage is taking place and people really will not remember or care who did or did not work. My advice work as safely as you can reach and wash is best as it will clean doors where virus can hang around from all the delivery working going on. Only clean houses that give permission first, do not give change if accepting money and only then if they leave it on step and shut the door. Be especially considerate to people who are struggling do some cheap or even for free till it's over. Ask older people if they need supplies and call at end of day to pick them something's up it they want. Keep your reputation, do more good so you feel at ease with this, KEEP your family solvent. We will be told to stop working soon enough, we are a risk to no body if careful, clean all gates you touch when entering, and survive this emotionally and financially as best you can. Couldn’t agree more, in Nancy Pelosi’s latest Coronavirus Bill it clearly states their plan for the “digital dollar” to come from this. 
 

Watched Robert Kiyosaki put out a video the other day and he said that’s the end game if they pass that. It’s well known he is a close friend of Trump (and regardless what you think of him and his daft comments etc.) he is on the side of the people when it comes to stuff like this and is massively opposed to it. But like you say he’s just a puppet for the higher up people making the real decisions.

Yes Dominoes are taking the mickey sending folk out like that. Which makes me think how many recently jobless are on other forums saying the exact same thing about the local window cleaner they've seen working down the road.

I’m not putting cards through the doors and wouldn’t for the foreseeable, but I agree it’s the perception they get more than the reality of the protocols your implementing.

The first trial is on 1500 people that are then going to be retested again, there's a few days. Then if it works they will be testing frontline staff, guesstimate 5 million. After these have been tested it will be made available to the public.

With the current lockdown how are the Police supposed to know who have been tested and passed?

I'm all for good news, it does have to be fact based as well though and all information, from around the world, indicates the fact that 3 weeks isn't enough time to resolve it.

Thing is even if your immune you can still move the virus around. Also in China they are starting to see reinfections. And in America they found the virus on the cruise ship that has been empty for 17days, this virus lasts a lot longer on surfaces than anyone expected.

What planet are you living on?! Yes they have got a test that they are going to roll out and start testing the nhs next week. When they get enough they will then test the emergency services then when they get enough the military. Then after that if they get enough vital key workers like carers shops staff people in the logistics chain such as lorry drivers then warehouse and processing plant and factory staff. If they manage to get millions they will even start on banks and insurance staff. If you think a self employed window cleaner is gonna be given ome of these tests that are like gold dust your having a laugh and not in the real world! Also when they predict the peak in June if our peak is like italy/spain and very soon france which we are following almost exactly at the moment that would mean whilst theres up to 1000 people dying a day with temporary morgues in leisure centres and airports and you reckon the government will say I tell you what screw the essential key workers onlybrule of course window cleaners can go back to work!! As someone said a while ago at the minimum we are gonna miss this summer. This sounds harsh I know and hopefuly I font offend people but talk to any nurse or police officer and if you think we are being effected now this is a drip before the flood
