Builders cleans- what sort of surprises am I in for?

WCF

I think the main thing that doc provides is it informs the clients and get there understand and approval of potental risks involved before any work is carried out.

Maybe the waiver would not stand up in court if challenged as is not written by a specialist contracts legal bod but is better than going in with yer arse exposed as they say /emoticons/wink.png

Well I used to have a costumer who had all his windows replaced I was cleaning them and the glass on pretty much every window was scratched and he thought they would buff out. I told him before I started that there where scratchs and I cannot be to blame, the next I went all the windows where being changed I knocked the door he asked me to leave them. As I walked off the window fitters blamed me as a joke , Dropped him as I dont want that kind of costumer.

I believe he went through something legal.. I point all defects out before I start the job now no matter what the job is.

yes thanks for the forms they are going in my glovebox, i think they would give you very good protection in law if they were signed..in fact i may well be using them on every new job..any hassle from custys though and i will just set smurf loose on them:)

I recently done a Builder's Clean and I was Sub-contracting off a Cleaning firm. I priced it at and hourly rate and I am glad I did. Because it's a nightmare. De-taping, plaster, paint everywhere etc. I would just turn up to site on the rainy days (was a lot of them as you know a month ago) and work the hours I wanted. Do expect to wait a while for your money too!. Large firms take a while too pay. Not like the old girl at No. 23 who pays on the the day and gives ya a cuppa and a slice of carrot cake!... But, work is work at the end of the day. So, well done on getting the Builder's Clean bud!....

Tagging on an old post but wondering if anyone has a copy of the builders clean waiver/disclaimer for glass scratches etc. i have been looking but dont seem to be able to get a copy of it to download. Thanks

Ah it's a pain in the hole.  U think it take 4 hours.   Charge for 6.           Do the whole house.   Then scoot round at end do it all again. With just mop and blade leave it sparkling
