Can you install seperate RO/DI system onto a van-mounted Water Delivery Unit?

Hello there!

So we're looking to set up using water-fed poles and like the look of the WaterWorks Window Cleaning Delivery System (see link: https://waterworkswindowcleaning.co.uk/product/1-man-700l-delivery-system-with-powerup3d-electric-reel/). It fits the look we are going for and is a local company, which we feel would make life a little bit easier. The issue is we do not have a garage or other space in which to put a static water filtration system. WaterWorks do not offer filtration add ons, so I'm wondering if anyone has used the WaterWorks system, and added their own van-mounted filtration to it (e.g. https://hughcrane.co.uk/streamline-filterplus-300-ro-filter-system.html). Or otherwise, has bought a delivery only system and added on a R/O system. We don't know if this is possible or realistic. 

The alternative would be a X-Line System with 4-stage R/O filtration (see link: https://www.xline-systems.co.uk/water-fed-pole-systems/750ltr-x-tank). Adding the R/O adds £1,000 on to the cost, though, and this seems quite steep!

Any alternatives welcomed greatly - this is starting to give me a headache!

Have a search on RO and DI here and you will find huge amounts of info. The RO unit you posted wont give you anywhere near a full tank in 24 hrs!!!!

Look at daqua.co.uk as they are very knowledgeable.

You will need to know your tap water tds with a decent meter and your tap pressure!

I think you have a fair bit of reading to do.

Personally wouldn't go near X-line, far to many bad reports. There are other suppliers, Grippatank is popular, supposedly very good but very expensive. I think the one used most, by a slight majority, on here is Pure Freedom. They are probably cheaper than X-line as well but slightly more than Waterworks

You can add a 4040 RO system to that system but you will have to reroute a few pipes

This is a complete system.

It looked a good buy till I read the description. It's not a 2 man system with a booster pump as shown in the image!! It's a single man system without booster pump and no reel or poles as shown in second picture.

That is naughty tbh. I have never looked at the offer in any detail - I just showed the advert photo with a full system, tank, frame and R/O.

Then as you say there are hose reels and poles to add.

I've often thought that the cost of that booster pump and fancy electronic controller make the rest very cheap at £2970.

What always got me about this system was that the frame is made out of stainless steel but they use mild steel (or they did) spreader plates for underneath where you need anti rust material the most.

perhaps talk to window cleaning warehouse, they are offering the same system with an RO/DI upgrade option.
