Worse thing I ever got on my brush was pigeon repellent gel.  Was in what looked like three or four petre dishes along a window sill and I caught the brush in one as I was rinsing down the window.  It was the gooeyest stuff I've ever come accross.  It got on my hands, my clothes and nearly destroyed the brush.  I managed to get it out with a carpet cleaning solution followed by a hot solution of biological washing powder and water and left to soak.  If I didn't have the stuff to hand it would likely have been uneconomical to clean it off.
