Hi guys,

Picked up a new IBC over the weekend to keep at the yard for quick transfer.

It’s been used for fruit syrups, figures this will be better than an old diesel one, but wondered if you guys had any advice on cleaning it without affecting the pure going into it?

I only have cold water on site and not sure how much a hose/pressure wash will get out?

Thanks, Dave

Hate to say this, but I'd scrap it and buy a brand new one, guaranteed clean.

I've tried to clean out an IBC, and the man hours that went into it was completely silly compared to the cost of just buying a new one. Never got clean enough anyway, so I just gave it away.

That said, I hear people get good results with a power washer and degreaser. Fill and empty it with pure a few times and it could work out fine.

Cleaned mine a few weeks ago
Don’t know what was in it
Pressure washer with bleach and just kept on rinsing and rinsing it!!
Took a good few hours but that was just me being on the cautious side!
Filled it then with tap water and rinsed it out!
After produced a little pure and checked the TDS in tank and was fine
