Years ago I had injector problems in my Vito , the garage who sorted it said you have been running it on supermarket fuel , I said yes how do you know he said the injectors were all gummed up as there was no additives in there fuels he said he saw it all the time , I used to fill up at Asda , since then I only use supermarkets fuel on odd occasions and have never had a problem since .
That's partly because they (gov) switched to low sulphur fuel and older vehicles needed the sulphur to lubricate the pumps! I think the garage may not have fully understood the change to fuel.

There is a good thing about an addon you only drive to it and back. Did a £200 gutter clear today about 4 miles away. Two big semi detached houses and used one house power for the Vac. If I was doing windows then £30 would have went on diesel instead of a fiver so the big addons make financial sense

Im just gonna stick with Jet by me for now who are owned by Conocophillips ...

Im not an fuel specialist but when I worked in the oil/gas industry with specialists before window cleaning I was told there was a major difference between the major brands product and what supermarkets sell.
I used to do the cleaning at a Conocophilips fuel depot (jet fuels), the morrisons trucks used to fill up there. So about 10 years ago Jet and the fuel at Morrisons would have been exactly the same. It was fed via a pipeline from the eastern side of the country and stored in huge tanks, so there was no way of separating any good stuff from bad stuff, it was all the same.

I never let mine get to low but have put between £100-130 in it , weekly average at the moment is around £85-90
£85-90 a week ? almost £400 a month on diesel. For me as my round is not full up it’s alot to pay out just over £100 on diesel each time

My latest fill up was £107 lol to me that is ridiculous, my vans a 1.6
I always fill up when my tank gets down to a quarter full...£40 used to brim it,now its £50....how the hell do you put £107 in at once?do you run your van way past the red?

I've never filled up more than £60 in one go in any van or car I've ever had!

It was right near bottom of red, almost on empty, I usually fill up once I hit the red/reserve or part way through it. Yeah that £107 was the most I’ve ever paid on fuel ever. The prices are crazy atm

I never ever let the mileage range drop below 100 on my van I let it drop to about 100 then fill, I add How It Works - Cataclean 3-4 times a year which has to be added when the fuel level is low followed by a 10 minute drive.

It cost me £83.18 to fill the tank yesterday, I won't need to fill it up again till next year :D

Reading everyone's dilemma regarding diesel price. Got me thinking about all the Public Services that use diesel. Everything from emptying the bins to calling for an Ambulance is going to cost more plus the moment they get a 10% rise will add to that. i expect a massive slow down but not until this time next year. fwiw
