I've just made myself some pole holders for the van. I've seen a few videos etc on this but none with the exact process and bits you need so thought I'd share.
First thing I secured some Munsen ring backplates to the roof of the van;

They are secured with self drilling screws. Specifically self drilling and not self tapping. You want hex heads and not Phillips, this is because you're working on the roof of the van and your drill is likely to rip the thread of a Phillips. I used 16mm screws, you may be able to use longer but you'll want to be careful not to go through the bar and hit the actual roof;

Next, to hold the pole holder pipe I used Rubber lined pipe clips. They screw straight on to the Munsen ring back plates;

Finally the actual pipe. Just 1m of 110mm soil pipe;

Optional extras.... You can add a socket plug to the far end. I didn't add this, just left the back open, simply due to the size of my van and location of the pipes;

You could also add additional pole holders in between if required. Simply get a female Munsen back place and add a threaded rod to allow the pipe clips to be fitted lower than the initial fitting.
All 3 set me back less than £40. Much cheaper than any option available from the major window cleaning suppliers.
